RICHER HAVING HIS SAY
Stanley Cup veteran making a comeback

Stephane Richer is no stranger to the NHL ice. With over 980 regular season games under his belt, he has more experience in the league than anyone invited to training camp this season. Still, it is a bit of a surprise to see him in the Pens black and gold.

Richer sat out last year after leaving the Washington Capitals training camp after just one day. He returned to his native Quebec and suited up against retired greats instead of contemporary skaters.

”Last year I was playing with some old-timers,” he said earlier this week from the Pens’ Southpointe location. “It’s nice to be back with the real guys…I’m really enjoying it.”
